Since the sixteenth-century and even much earlier, Jerome’s (ca. 331/347-419/420) has had an enormous impact on the way Christians have thought about the canon of the Old Testament. In this the first part of two episodes, we briefly review Jerome’s life and his overall importance in later Christian conversations about the canon.
